I was in Wal-Mart looking for some other SE5a products and i bumped into this one. A "7 wire strand" for "beading" or possibly "SE5a Cabling".

Here is the product:

Here is a rather poor photo of that 7 wire strand (.30 mm) (on the right) and a strand of my "invisible" smoke monofilament (on left) and the very thinest strand of copper wire that I have used (in center).

The wire is rather stiff and don't even think of tieing it. The strands do not unravel (haven't even been able to force that).

I am going to try to use it as flying control cable (at least inside).

Regards
Steve

ooooh... looks nasty.

I would go thinner rather than thicker Steve. I have some 0.6mm Ø Copper wire that I will use on My SE5a when I build it.

Cheers,

Hugh

Sorry, Just read the label on the roll... 0.3mm!!! That's amazing!

Cheers,

Hello Hugh,

Yes that cable is looking very good to me right now. It is the same size as the Part of Poland PE framework wires. Possibly too large for rigging, but controls are another matter.

That sure looks interesting. I doubt if this stuff is for sale over here in Holland, but I would like to check that out. Would it be a problem for you to send some of the stuff over here to Holland?

Cheers, Nico

Nico,

I'm sure there is something comparable in Holland. Check out the craft stores, for beading products, etc. I always browse the craft areas of stores just in case there is something I might be able to use.

Steve
