Hi Guys,
I'm looking to apply future prior to decaling .
As I don't as yet own an airbrush I'll have to do it the old fashioned way,by brush.
Do I need to thin it? and if so what do you use?

Chris you don't need to thin it at all but , you can as well . It's all about choice . You can thin it with Isopropyl Alcohol ( rubbing alcohol ) . You can get this at any drug store , even a dallor store for a buck . You can also use this to thin arylic paint as well . Or just plain water !
Every one has their own perfance on what they use and how .

Hey how did the baking soda and water tip work out for you ?

I add up to 40% isopropyl alcohol. It permits airbrushing with lower pressure, it gives a thinner coat and I find that overall the result is better.

Hi Chris,
You can also wipe "Future" on with a piece of cloth. The type used for cleaning spectacles is excellent. I've been doing that on my car kits for quite sometime, which I then polish it gently with some Tamiya fine polishing compound & then finsh off with their wax.
You may not need to do this with your aircraft though.

You can also use windshield washer fluid, the basic 99 cent type. The blue tint doesn't have any effect in the color of the paint nor does it alter "Future" in any way.

Asa far as clean- up.... I found that it is easier to run glass cleaner w/ ammonia in your airbrush to get rid of any remaining future before it dries.
