When using a liquid glue and using a brush (not the one they give you in the cap), whats the best way to clean it?

Also, how do you clean your brush after using Mr. Surfacer 500?

Hi Jon, what works for me with the liquid glue (certainly the Tamiya type) is that I just take the brush out of the glue when I have finished using it, give it a wipe with a tissue or something, and let it dry. It dries rock hard - you can't bend the bristles on the brush - but the next time you want to use the brush, just stick it back in the glue container and, hey presto, it softens almost instantly and you can use it like normal. Sounds weird but it works very well.

With Mr Surfacer, I use Tamiya lacquer thinner to clean the brush. It works OK, but I'd be happy to hear if anyone out there has a better method!

thanks for the advice on the liquid cement. i hear a similar technique works for removing future.

Also, my LHS doesnt supply Tamiya Lacquer thinner, so i am going to need another method

Future can be cleaned from brushes with warm water only or if you want to be absolutely sure,use Windex or any other cleaner that has ammonia in it.
If Tamiya lacquer thinner works for Mr. Surfacer,then a generic lacquer thinner from your local hardware/paint store will work just fine.

Nail polish remover works well for cleaning mr. surface from brushes .

You can use acetone to remove Mr. Surfacer. Nail polish remover is odorless acetone.
