Hi Guys (and Gals)
Just been on Trumpeter`s website and discovered that they are working on a DC-3 in 1/32.I,for one,WANT ONE !,it can`t be a huge leap to turn it into a C-47 coz i`ve wanted one ever since i saw Band Of Brothers on TV.
My hope is that they (1) release a proper C-47 Version (this would save having to scribe/scratchbuild the cargo door)
(2) not take a month of sundays to release it like they do with some of their kits.
Hopefully by posting this it will gee them up a bit by getting this release out in the open and generate some interest in this long overdue kit.

Hi Danny -
The DC-3 Has always been my favorite airplane. My major reaction to hearing about a 1/32 model is - Where the h--- are you going to put it?
I'd have to store it in my backyard!.

Hi guys,
Sorry, but this must be an error on Trumpeter's website. The DC-3 will most surely be a 1/48 scale kit.
The C-47 kit was n°02828 and the DC-3 kit n°02829.
The dimensions of both kits are the same: C-47 kit specs and DC-3 kit specs.
It must be a typo. Again, sorry guys...

I have the Trumpeter kit and it's a fine kit. The interior is veery good, and there is photo etch to add additional detail "in the back." It IS a big model. I, also, loved the depiction in "Band of Brothers." Plus, I jumped out of one when I was in the Marines. I always liked that plane. When I learned to fly, you could ent one of them fo $55.00 per hour.
