Greetings all;

Recently Roden sent me another 1/48 Roden Junkers D.I and remembered wanting to do a detailed go at some girders and trusses. I just wish Merlin and I could do a Combo build together. sigh*

The first go around.

As things clear up around my desk with the two 1/32 kits I am hammering away at , I may need this little jewel to have some light fun with. Almost a year has gone by.

When it first came out.

Stephen , your first link doesn't work . Will you be doing this one online as well ?
Having the kit in my stash I must say that it is a beautiful kit . One for sure which panels can be open up to show off the detail .

The link should be ok now. Yes I plan on doing some of modifications for everyone to see. This will relate to the derelict and detail thread I brought up recently.

Working fine now , thanks . This has always been an interesting subject for me . Roden has done a fantastic job on this kit . Just not sure on having the fuselage in four halves and how this will fit in the end and if filling needs to be . So your tips will be most helpful when I finally glue it together . I'm looking forward to this one !

With sanding the edges lightly and careful fitting it goes together well. I had the build up "how to" on my website for about 9 months and people seem to like it.

Click Here for the Aeroscale thread.

Also! I want to include the build thread by our own Brad Cancian for everyone's benefit. And there is much to learn from his comments.

. Brad's build here.
