Hi folks,
Has anyone one any opinions of the Bronco Piper Club L4. I've been toying with the idea of building an aircraft but want to say with in 1/35 scale.
There appear to be 2 kits, is it just different markings?
Many thanks
Al

Yes, there are two Bronco Models kits; the original L4 and a second version with additional parts to model "Rosie the Rocketeer" - the L4 that was armed with underwing rocket launcher tubes, and different decal markings for this aircraft.
I like both kits, and have one slated to build, but some modelers have panned the kit(s) for lacking finer details in the cockpit and some external details that should be corrected. Nothing huge or time-consuming - typical of any model you choose to build, so I'd recommend either of them. It is a cool subject for AFV modelers to get an unusual Aircraft in 1:35th scale to model. I'd think A/C Modelers would like it too...

Hi Jim,
Thanks, I thought something 'wingy' might be a nice change but wanted to keep to the same scale.

Al - the Bronco kit is 1:35th scale. Which scale were you wanting to model a L4 in?

Hi Jim,
1/35 is fine I wanted to stay in the scale I build vehicles in. Anything smaller I couldn't handle
It's a pity there aren't a few more aircraft in 1/35 plastic.

True! Have you ever seen Tristar's 1:35th scale Storch? From what I've heard, roughly the same price locally as the Bronco L4, and pretty impressive too.
I don't have one of these kits in my stash, however...

Hi Jim,
Captured Fielser Storch
I was looking in the IWM pics for N Africa and Italy, looking for trucks actually when I came across these.
I think this is the same plane but later in the Italian Campaign
Might have found my build option after all.
Cheers

Tristar make a 1/35 Fielser Storch. ----- as noted by Jim above, but not noticed by myself until too late!
