I picked up an old Revell Bell H-13 MASH kit. The colour directions show the interior as " Zinc Chromate"....does anyone know what colour Zinc Chromate is? I've tried to find some walk-around photos on the net but couldn't find any showing the interior back wall.

Zink chromate is a yellow-green color. It was used as a preservative and primer since it has zinc in it and seals well against the weather. That said, the cockpit interior was not usually this color. It was usually a medium gray color. Zinc chromate green (now ZC yellow is the standard) is a primer and not a top coat.
