I've looked and can't find a 1/72 scale McDonnell F-101 Voodoo. I am looking for a 101 which isn't the photo recon version. I think Revell or Hasegawa made a B model but not sure. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks; Russell.

Revell had a 1/72 F-101B a little while ago, which I don't think was the Matchbox one - it was the Monogram one from the early 90s and probably a fair bit better. Still reasonably easy to find, too.

If I remember well the Revell kit was a very nice model, with good detail and recessed panel lines, I would definitely prefer it to the Matchbox kit.

I think I read somewhere(probably HLJ) about it, saying something like "Downscaled version of their 1/48 kit". A few other sources refered it as the "best 1/72 F-101 kit".

It is IMHO the best 101 in any scale. I picked up a couple in Anaheim for the '07 IPMS national show. They are hard to find though, so if, and when you see one, I suggest you jump on them. I can search one of the local shops here as they have an abundance of kits on the shelves that have been traded in. Many time they are stuffed way in the back where you have to dig a bit to find the sought after ones. As soon as I can get down there to look, I'll give you a yell. "Q"
