REVIEW
F6F Hellcat Royal ClassPosted: Friday, October 17, 2008 - 08:11 PM UTC
Here's a review of Eduard's new Royal Class boxing of the Grumman Hellcat which can be built in several variants. This time the special package don't include many gimmicks. It is more aimed at modelers wanting to build two super detailed models with the inclusion of lots of photo etched and resin parts.

Hi Jean-Luc
Nice Review. I must admit the bonus data plaque didn't really tempt me in this boxing, but the new etched and resin parts look cool (I promise I didn't pocket the missing set of wheels before sending the kit on to you! ). I'm jealous of the decals - I've always fancied modelling the colourful Hellcats used as drones.
All the best

Hi Rowan,
If one day you need some decals from the kit, just tell me. I want to do a radar version, the French one and the drone with the yellow/orange wings... wait that means 3 aircraft!? Uhhh, decisions, decisions...

Hi Jean-Luc
Many thanks. I'm sure you can guess any drone-build is a long way off for me, but if you've still got the decals saved when the time comes...
I can't tell from the shots of the instructions in the Review - do Eduard show the extra antennae on the drones and control aircraft?
All the best
Rowan

I just got mine- and was shocked that it did not contain the full compliment of available PE. What, buy two sets of the color self-adhesive kits to complete it? I thought that was the point of the royal class boxings. Phooey!
