I am buidling a Hasegawa Mig-27 Flogger-D, all OOB, and apart from a few minor problems and small holes to fill, I have encountered no construction problems at all. I still have a few questions:

  • Does someone know any good site with reference pictures ?

  • The underside of the plane is painted in some light-blue color. Then the sides and upperside is painted in a three tone camo. Where this blue and the camo-scheme meet, I know it forms a hard edge, but I wonder wether this edge is a straight line or a little bit wavy (as I can not get it clear from the box-art).

  • What is a good way to make a groundplate looking like the concrete on a Russian airbase ? Because despite adding more weight then advertised the plane unfortunataly has become a tail-sitter. I have learned my lesson for the next time, but that is a bit too late for this plane, so I have to glue it to something...

Thanks in advance,

Harm

Harm, e-mailed u a photo showing Flogger camo dividing line to good advantage. Lmk if you don't get it. For concrete, try an artist's supply shop. I don't remember it's proper name, but you're looking for a heavy cardboard with a slightly pebbly surface. You can cut it into individual "concrete" panels, or just paint the expansion joints.
