Well folks here we are. . .the leaves are starting to turn. The cloak of winter will fall across our windowpanes in the coming months. If you do any serious modeling you probably have a few picked kits out for those nights when everyone else is letting sugar plums dance in their head. Pick up some new DVDs for the holidays, stock up on cheese, crackers fruit, summer sausage, your favorite beverages get a new seat cushion for your hobby desk chair. New slippers for your feet and maybe even some holiday music. Sit back for a minute and ponder and let us know what will be on your hobby bench in the coming months.

I am currently working on a crazy in-depth build of the V-22 Osprey. Kinda crazy as the reference material is limited and the kit is proving to be an ultimate test of patience. This will be my 4th build since coming back to the hobby and I am trying new things and ideas from cockpit to landing gear bays to control surfaces.
In addition, I am also working on completing my workbench which is in a build blog somewhere on the network. It is pending a panel and the stain. I just couldnt help myself, and ended up pulling out a kit as it was quite a while since sitting down to mess with some plastic.
Finally, I was working on the Italeri A-10 (1/48) at the time of embarking on the workbench build. Cant really pull that out cause it involves heavy sanding.
So I think that makes 3 builds, and I expect the A-10 and V-22 to go well into 2009. My job will soon demand an immense amount of time from me and I will be severely limited on the ability to take an hour or 2 to get some work done.
Cheers, Mike
ps. Im a public auditor in a small to medium sized CPA firm. Our schedules sometimes take us to over 70 hours a week on an engagement. Needless to say, I am also an accountant for the family's businesses. When I decide that some stress relief is needed, I turn to modeling. When I turn to modeling, I fall behind on one job. So I'm stressed approximately 80% of the time. The other 20% I'm at the bench or playing paintball.
Wow, sorry for the long story. I have 3 builds coming up........

Oh jeez.
as far as aircraft (all 1/48th), I have the following i need to clear off the workbench:
hasagawa Bf-109G-2
Dragon Ju-88G-6
Kitbashed (monogram and heller) RF-84F
and the Hasegawa D3A1 Val
I'll likely be starting (by winter's end):
Hobbyboss MiG-17F
Tamiya P-47D Razorback
Tamiya Fw-190A-8
and the Eduard Bell X-1 - and maybe the (monogram) B-29 drop plane too!
and in the spring:
Classic Airfames Nf. 11/13 Meteor
that is all for aeorscale campaigns mind you!
will probably start a few others out of the stash too, because I am way too ADD for it to really be a good idea for me to be in this hobby!

So, here's what I will have going. First of all, I can't wait to get home from the sandbox, and into weather where frost on the pumpkin is a possiblity! My first order of business will be to enjoy my wife and kids to the greatest extent possible. However, they have to sleep sometime, and then it will be down to the workbench!
Hasegawa F-14D for the Big Cats build.
Panzer II Luchs, also a Big Cat, complete with Aber photo etch and some Fruil tracks.
Following that, I have to complete a UH-60 that I am building for my 1SG, but that is in a Contico box at Fort Bragg, NC
Lastly, after viewing and reviewing the many build logs of the Dragon M1 series, I will be embarking on one.

Rodens Fokker DV.II
Eduards Nieuport 23
Eduards Morans -Sauliner
Starting in the new year , joined a few campaigns and started one
Stripes in the sky
Butchers bird

as for other ones to start I'm not sure . I guess what every stricks me at the time . I will be adding many more kit's to the collection of aircraft that I don't have in my collection . As well as work on getting windsock data files .

Oh boy, I guess I'm in a not-unusual quandary. After the P-35A what's next. That is, after I break down the Paasche and clean it real good. Kinda considering a Classic Airframes Curtiss SBC-4, one of my 'tween the wars' . Maybe after that I might do the little Curtiss AT-9 Jeep I got from Squadron a few weeks ago. Maybe one more after that and I'll be getting ready for the Seaplane/Flying boat campaign where I'll tackle my first resin kit - A Sikorsky S-38 in PAA colors. Aside from that, just looking forward to sitting around watching the snow fall and smelling the chili simmering. And of course....football!!

Well in the coming winter months I've got a Tu-22M and a couple of P-51's to get finished for campaigns here on Aeroscale, theres also a SR-71, a Delta Dagger and a B-52 all waiting to be finished, all these are in 1/144.
Once their done I'll move on to a Avro Arrow and a BAC TSR2 both in 1/72, then it will be time for campaign builds again.
Oh somewhere along the way I plan on getting a car or truck built.
Well thats me well into next year, but then again my build plans never work out as planned
Ciao
