I wonder if anyone may be able to help out after a bit of clumsiness, not being used to used decals much I made rather a mess of applying these to my Strutter. Does anyone have the French markings from the Flashback Sopwith 1 1/2 strutter they are not using? In fact I only need the individual aircraft markings - I had problems with the tail flashes, the little duck and the yellow and blue bands.

If anyone does have these they don't need I will of course happily pay for them, if so my email is [email protected].

Whilst I am at it, I had problems particularly with the tail flashes, what is the best way to do these as they are larger than the fin area. I assumed apply then trim but they seemed very brittle one in place. Are there any pages of good advice on how to apply decals - haven't done it on an aircraft for at least twenty years so I do have an excuse!

Thanks
Mike

Apologies for not being clearer, hadn't realised there was more than one version. The kit is 72nd scale and the markings as in this aircraft

Thanks for looking JP. I bought it in my local hobby shop in North Wales, though his supplies come through Hannants. Didn't realise it was hard to get hold of, looks like I might struggle with this one. If push comes to shove I will just paint the bands and fin flashes, but thought I would give it a go.

I can't help you with the decals but remember that latest investigations discovered that most (if not all) French built strutters were painted with aluminum dope and not CDL as Flashback and Roden (1/48) kits state.

Best regards,

Claudio

PS: Check with Eduard they have an excellent customer service, I ruined a decal sheet a couple of years ago and they sent to me a replacement free of charge.
