Well I finally got her complete. Didn't seem to be much interest in the wip pics, so maybe these will be more likable.. Anyway here she is. "Q"

A really great job. Very nice looking aircraft. Really like the paint scheme on her. I have a 1/72 scale Catalina that I am going to build in Air Force markings. Possibly WW2. I have done some research and found that the Air Force cats in Europe during the war seemed to be overall white; while the cats in the Pacific had a blue over light grey camo on them. Not sure which I will do. Yours is sure very colorful and I again really like it. Russell

Thanks for the kudos all. I have a few more on the pile. Another 1/144 kit, a 1/72 offering and a 1/48 offering. I might do all three in these hi-viz rescue markings. They are certainly an eye catcher. It was a lot of fun watching it all come together as I went. Thanks again for the kind words. "Q"

Great job on that Cat. Very colorful.I might do one in 1/48th scale. I have yet to decide on a camo scheme and markings. I've been looking at Cats in the service of different countries and trying to make up my mind.

Hi Matthew

Great job! I reckon that should be on the Frontpage! (Would that be our first 1/144 scale headliner?)

All the best

Well, not being much into rescue type A/C I was just thinking ho hum another colorful paint job. That is until I came to the photo with the penny. Then I really looked closely at all the pictures! Remarkable! The paint scheme in that scale becomes an incredible challenge (at least for these eyes) Your eye for detail in this scale is fantastic.
Congratulations on a masterful piece in such a minute scale!
Cheers,
Charles

Beautiful paint work. I can't believe it is 1/144.

Amazing!

Thanks for the comments everybody. Much appreciated. I've been delving into 1/144 scale stuff off and on for a couple years now. I really like the scale as it allows me to put more into my display cases than other scales. There is a wide variety of subjects to choose from as well. I had the wip pics posted, but nobody commented on them. Had the same thing happen with a 1/72 U-2D and I just pulled the pics off. Not a big deal. I know this isn't everybody's cup o tea so to speak. I got a 1/72 Connie in TWA markings underway currently. Will try and get some progress pics posted of her as I go. Thanks again, "Q"

Must admit I missed the WIP posts. Great job on the catilina I'd like to do one the ones based out of Lough Erne, and a 1/144 would suit the space I've got available. I'll have hunt for the WIP thread.

It's in the same forum. I tried linking it, but couldn't get it to come thru. If you search under the posts I have made, it should pop up. "Q"
