Hi again,
This is my Trumpeter Corsair, 1/32 scale. Nice kit, but with wrong cockpit and some inaccurate details on the cowling, strangely molded in transparent plastic.
The weathering was inspired by a pic showing some birds of the VF-17, with almost mixed blue shades on the sides for this particular aircraft.
Cheers,

I can only echo the comments on the weathering.
The plumbing work in the wing area is stunning as well.
Great job!

The build looks great. Can you tell us about the build? I have this kit and would love to have it turn out this good. Did you use After Market accessories?

Hello Carl,
Thanks for your comment. Indeed, no aftermarkets. I just rebuilt the cockpit by removing the floor, specific for the F4U-4 version, reshaped the cowling flaps, and add some wires in the inner wings areas. The ammo on the wing and other features are genuine. Be aware with the exhausts. As far as I remenber, them seem to be pretty long and hard to position.
Gears are molded in ruber wich is a bad idea according to me if you want to simulate weight effect.
If you want to know more about painting, just ask !
Cheers
