There are profiles and several excellent Mark Miller renderings of this Alb D.Va. Mark however, reports he cannot locate the source material he used, and I have found only one relatively poor quality photo. Can you identify the pilot or SN of this plane? Do you have any source material at all regarding it?
Thanks

Here is the one he means.
You will probably find your answer at Windsock.
Jasta 5 Volume 1. Glen Merrill recounts the unit history of Jasta 5, the Green-tails, with many rare photos, plus 11 pages of all-new colour profiles depicting the most colourful German fighters of WWI. £22.00
Probably in this one. I'll check my copies later.
Jasta 5 Volume 2. Second of the acclaimed Jasta 5 history with more rare photos, another 11 pages of all new sparkling profiles depicting the most colourful of WWI Albatros and Fokkers! £22.00

Good luck painting that one. I actually wanted to model it myself, but decided to wait for a 1/32nd kit.
Hello, Roden, are you out there? Hint, hint...

Thanks for responding. I have been on the hunt for this one for some time now.
You are right, there are photos at pages 31 and 32 in vol 1 of the G K Merrill Jasta 5 books, but these are not clear and may be of the Alb flown by Lt Wolf, with Bavarian heraldry. That one was profiled by R. Pearson in the same books at page 26. I have nearly completed that one. The other plane, rendered by Mark Miller and depicted above, is more of a mystery.

I am going to delve into my Jasta 5 roster as well. The early a/c was a D.V and if this is a D.Va it maybe a progression for the same pilot or the image was adopted by another pilot from Jasta 5.

Thanks for following up.
I am also trying to locate the November 1971 issue of Scale Models, which is reported to include an article by Peter Gray on Jasta 5 markings. Even if it doesn't cover this bird it should be worthwhile. Still no joy, not on Ebay in US,UK, Aus,France or Germany, and inquiries to shops in the UK and NZ. Mark Miller says he got his data from a general aviation source which he can neither recall nor locate.

Not sure if these two books will help you out or not , but just might help with a little more info .
Osprey Richthofen's Circus and German Fighter units of June 1917-1918 . Both books chat about Jasta 5 and unit markings .

Thanks for looking in. I've looked at these sources (and others). I'm beginning to get discouraged. . .

Now don't be getting all discourage on us here . The answer you are looking for will be coming soon . I do know how you feel , happens to me lots sometimes and if it wasn't for the excellent members and staff on this site I would have through in the towel along time ago and sold every thing . Glad I didn't .
I read Stephen's post and if he says he will look into it more , he will just give him some time . So in the mean time what else do you have on the go ?
