Greetings all;
Here is a bit of fun with one of my older builds. The first of several I have planned that replicate airframes that were on display at Ilsington's Agricultural Hall in mid & late 1918.
"Mummy, did Daddy shoot that one down?"

Thanks for the kind words. As for the general layout here are 5 airframes in the ultimate version of the display. There were others in the general display even a Halb. CL.II and a bomber or two.
The figures are from Preiser of Germany. They have an "O" gauge circa 1900 series.

As you can see the closest bird is the Alb. D.I flown by Prince Karl Friedrich when he was KIA. The next is Sakowsky's Alb. D.Va from jasta 14 that after winning sevral award was sold. Now I have to build another. Thumbs up there. Then there is Fok. D.VII 368/18. That model is awaiting some flooring for the display box and it will be done. At the far end on the opposite side of the Fok. Dr. I is a Pfalz D.III. Maybe I can get some 1/48 wing skeletals in brass. . .
My display will reflect the time when the airframes were tails down and still had some of the original skin on them. In fact I will have some museum crew members posed as if they were working on the D.VII removing fabric. Here is that 1/48 scale Part of Poland & Roden kit crash. I built to match the first Fokker D. VII to fall into captivity. Fokker D.VII 368/18
