hellcat colors ?

im building trumpeters 1/32 hellcat and i was wondering if anyone knew what 3 tamiya colors are used for the pacific camo scheme. thank you

Hi Rob

As far as I know Tamiya doesn't make the actual colors. As in their kit instructions the each color of the scheme you're looking for will be made up of two or more colors. Such as 2parts medium blue to 1 part white.....etc. If I can find the exact mixtures I'll post them for you.

i remember someone on here told me the tamiya colors,but i never wrote down his instructions

would anyone know the color mixtures and ratios for tamiya paints in regards to the 3 color scheme US Navy pacific WWII ? thank you.

Not much help for you though, as I remember AS paints are aerosols?

This paint chart at IPMS Stockholms mentions XF-03 as a match for NS sea blue.

Unless you want to stick with Tamiya, there's several paint brands who make just the colors you need, you know. But if you prefer mixing your own, I found this Avenger article on Accurate Miniatures' site. Different aircraft, same colors.
Now of course assuming it's the sea blue/intermediate blue/white scheme you're after.
