Hello!
During this days of economic crisis I'm trying to get something rather CHEAP.
I've taken a look at Lucky Model and they have a lot of Revell stuff at ridiculous prices.
I would like to know your opinions on these kits (if you built them)
Bf-109 G10, 1/48, just €9 - is it possible?!?

1/72 Me-262 A-1A
1/72 Horten Go 229
1/72 Tornado ADV F3
1/72 Bf-110 E1

I read lots of good comments on the Me-262... which are yours?

Hi Giacomo, the Me-262A/1a is a great kit far better than the Hasegawa kit, I've built a couple and have a few more in the stash. From what I remember there are no major problems.
The Horton Go-229 is one thats in the stash but I have not built it, looking at the parts it looks like it should be a good build again this is a modern Revell kit.

The Tornado and Bf-110 I've not built nor do I have them in the stash so sorry I can not help with these two.

Hi
Finished the GO-229 a few weeks ago.
Great little kit, good moldings although I found the decals on mine a little bit out of register but only under a magnifying glass so don't let tat put you off.

Hi,

I've built a lot of the Revell 1/72 kits, including the Me 262, and the night fighter version. Really great kits for the price - recessed panel lines, nicely detailed, decal options. The only kit from them I wouldn't recommend is the 1/72 Mig-3 - horrible fit and poor detail.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Thanks!
I'll go for the 262 then!

I ordered the 262 and it's leaving HK.
I'm looking for some easy-to-paint livery (before or after building Tamiya's F-16?)... any suggestion?

The series of Luftwaffe kits that Revell issued in the early 90s are all fantastic, the ME 410, ME 110 all fabulous models.

I still have seconds of them in the stash,

I've just dug out the Ju 88 A4 in 1/48th and though it is 10 years old its almost perfection.

The beautiful JU 52 in the same scale, and the He 111 are all on my to do list for next year

I recently picked up their 1/48th Arado 234 equally brilliant.

One could almost build Revell Luftwaffe models in 1/48th scall for the rest of ones days and never want to deviate.

the only thing to look out for with the 262 is the canopy, mine was misshapened as though it was half formed so i had to bin it and get a squadron one, other than that it builds up quite well.

Half formed?!?
Wow! Well, it could be my first vac-form canopy attempt!

Defective mouldings happen and sometimes slip into packaged kits. Not that common a phemenon though.
I've had to contact Revell's parts replacement service once so far. Service was smooth and I got a replament in the mail about a week later.
Although you had to be unlucky to get such a deformed part, replacing the 262s canopy wouldn't be a bad idea, as I've heard it's quite thick.
