I just had a wacko idea!
I wanted to put a weight in the nose cone of a plane to prevent having a tail sitter.
This can be tricky because the usual nuts, screws, or bearing balls used for this don't fit which leads to using an excessive amount of glue or putty.
This can result in a melted nose cone (as several people on this site have already pointed out).
Today, I put the nose cone and the steel piece i wanted to use in the freezer for some time first, then brought the two pieces together an filled it up with some melted candle wax.
and guess what.. it works
It seems to be solid as a rock and the nose cone kept its shape perfectly
