Hi all

I've read in a couple of places that Johnsons has discontinued the production of Klear (a.k.a. Future). In a panic and being down to my last five years worth, I hastened to my local Sainburys(Birmingham,Solihull) this morning only to discover about twenty bottles on the shelf!
I picked up another ten years worth just to be on the safe side.
Does anybody know if it really has been discontinued?

Cheers and a merry Xmas to all

Steve

Hi Steven

I haven't heard any rumour that Klear is being discontinued and it's still listed on the company website: http://www.scjohnson.co.uk/nqcontent.cfm?a_id=5996.

All the best

J&J just added the word 'Pledge' to the label for market recognition. There is no wax in the product and never was. It's still All Good.

Thank you gentlemen both,

I'll put a bottle away in the dark for the next five years!

Bl##dy hell Nige, how much of the stuff do you use!!!

I've still got most of the bottle I've had since I restarted this Malarkey two or three years ago and I'm fairly profligate with it.

It doesn't cost much after all!

If it did disappear I'm sure someone would "discover" something equivalent soon enough.

It is wonderful stuff . Following a tip from someone here I tried it as a decal setting solution for the first time recently and it did that well too.

Nige, i would not use Future on your tile/stone floor either. If tile has a pourus surface,it usually needs to' breathe' moisture from the bottom up. If you seal the surface, the trapped moisture(from air, foundation) will pop the tile loose from the mastic. Just mop it clean and enjoy it.
Got this info from the tile -meister who did my floors a few years back.
