Hermon Rector (VonCuda) sent us some pictures of his fantastic 1/48 scale Special Hobby Douglas Skystreak. The immaculate red finish of the model is quite spectacular.

As I already pointed out in the campaign tread: excellent build! The red colour is stricking and it looks very fast in a 50-60ties sort of way

Thanks Jesper, I had a lot of fun building this kit even though early jets aren't really my thing. Honestly, had I known Jean-Luc would want to do a feature on it I'd have taken more time and done a better job. Merlin is building this same kit for the speed campaign and I'm sure he'll do it more justice. Still trying to find my wings, but I'm gettin' better.

Hi Hermon
Great Job! It looks really stunning! I hadn't realised that you were building this one for the Speed Campaign too! I'll have to put my thinking cap on to find an alternative entry - it's silly to enter two identical builds when there are so many suitable subjects.
All the best
