I need to know if the newest P47 released by trumpeter "with the dorsal fin" is the same model of P47 that Hasegawa released with the 79th markings (I believe that is the squadron) (blue tail with lightning bolts on it).

Although I havent seen the latest Hasegawa release (your right, its 79th Fighter Group) im sure its a reboxing of their earlier P-47D "European Theatre" kit.
Both that and the new Trumpeter kit depict the late model P-47D-30/batches.
