Here it is, my last build for 2008. Finished Dec. 31, 9:00am (Manila Time)

Boeing P-26A of the 17th Pursuit Squadron, 24th Pursuit Group
based at Nichols Field, Manila, Philippines early 1941

Build OOB except for the scratchbuilt aerial mast.

Used a mix of automotive lacquer paints for the True Blue 23 fuselage and Chrome Yellow wings. Tail stripes were masked and airbrushed. Decals are from my spare boxes.

Guy wires are from surgical syringe needles. Aerial wires are stretched sprue. Applied some weathering to give it a worn look.

Cheers and Happy New Year!!!

Very nice!

It's the Hoby Craft/Academy kit i assume? The best kit Hobby Craft ever released in my opinion.

Great job Tony. The colors are nice and the detail and weathering bring it all together. Very nice indeed.

Very nice build. I bought one for my boy to build and wanted one for myself when I saw the kit. I'll have to check Lucky Model and see if they have any in stock. The LHS had one but they were asking $28.00, and the kit was already open. Does Academy still make them? When I last checked their web site it was not listed.

Thanks. I also checked the Academy site and its not there. I got a few of them about two years ago in a local hobby shop for like USD 7.50 each. Now I can't seem to find them as well.
