Great question........I got some free time to work on my Osprey.....no kits, but trust me, during our busy season (im an auditor), nothing is quite as good as the gift of time.

I managed to get some serious scratchbuilding done on the inside cabin.

Besides that, I took advantage of the season and bought a Tamiys P-47 and a Hasegawa Corsair several weeks before Christmas. I will probably get to them in about 2 months.......ahhhhhhhh

Tamiya F-16 USAF Thunderbirds -1/48
Hasegawa Saab Draken - 1/48
Hasegawa F-14A Tomcat - 148 with Grim Reaper decals
Academy F-16 - 1/48 with Dutch tiger strip decals (for strips campaign)
Hasegawa Datsun 240-Z 1/25 (my first car........100 years ago)

and assorted paints, glues, etc.

I love santa for bringing the stuff and love my wife even more for letting me stay up late at night to put it all together.

Oh, almost forgot to ask.......how do your wives/mates know what to get you? SWMBO is completely clueless as to even what sizes to look for.

None. Not one bit of anything model related .
But I did get a new camera (thankyou Hun) , so I can now take bad pics with an expensive piece of equipment .

Michael,
she and I both make out a list and then we exchange them. She knows exactly what I want and I know what she wants. Romantic eh? And just to be sure I also make out a 2nd list and give it to my kids and say "boy, these are some nice kits. I bet WE would have fun building them."
