OK, 1st posting here...
Although I build mostly armor..I wanted this kit for a long while and my gal got it for me during Christmas..
Beautiful, massive kit.. and I'd like to build her best I can to the "Tiger" markings version.
Can you guys recommend any photo etch or resin upgrades, further information like books for this particular version or any good links to build-ups of her? I'm thinking of depicting her as in pre-flight mode with the canopy, etc opened..
Are there pilots available for her?
THANKS!

Hi William,
Yes she's great!...Half of my model collection has been bought buy her!
I checked out Eduard's sets...the colored etch for the Interior looks superb! So I'm contemplating between them(the BIG Ed set) Or Cobra company's...Any views on this?
IS there any other sets?

Nick
I'm afraid I've exhausted my knowledge (I am very interested though) about the Hind. Others here have done some great builds and there is a build video on U-tube as well, just search Hind model and you'll find it.
I opted for the Chinook and the UH-60L for my giant projects, I have to get up my nerve to start these because I think I'll have them on my bench for a loooooonnnnnnggggg time.
Good luck and post progress.
Regards
Bill

Roger that William.
Will check out that youtube vid.
I'd like to build the DML UH-1D with photoetch & figs set but still comtemplating about those nasty rivets and thick clear parts. I've a Blackhawk I intend to convert to the Blakchawk down version..which I lack the nerves to do so yet.
The HIND is my favourite chopper (I got in 1/72) which started it all 8 years ago and got me hooked to military modelling.. I hope do good justice to this massive beast!
THANKS

If you search through here
http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showforum=17
you'll find quite a bit of information about the Hind. Again I watch this aircraft out of the corner of my eye because it is a s much armour as if is aircraft.
Good luck
Bill

If you like PE, I recommend both. The CC set gives you much more detail throughout. The big Ed has the printed instrument panels and lots of other small details. Personally, I like the CC set and can paint the instrument panels my self.
