Hey guys, I'm in the finishing stages of my Bf 109E-3. I just need to attach the wheels and exhaust, apply the decals and seal this baby up! I'm building mine as "White 2" flown by Ofw. Hans Illner. I like the scheme a lot, the lips with the cigarette on the underside of the cowling were painted on his aircraft to commemorate his first victory.

I really like the colors. Could you be specific about what colors you used on your bird? Might like to try one in 72 scale. Thanks again, Russell.

I am a big fan of the early 109s and looks like I will be following your WIP closely. Nice start on the colors.
Cheers

Superb work, Scott.
I'm very interested in the Bf-109E and am debating whether to get the Tamiya or Hasegawa kit.
What AM did you include? The cockpit looks too good for a kit, LOL!

Thanks guys. The paint scheme for this E3 is RLM02/71/65. I use Tamiya Acrylics exclusively and thin my mixes at least 50% with Tamiya thinner X-20A.
RLM02 Grau - 1 part XF-49 Khaki to 1 part RLM Grey
RLM71 Dunkel Grun - XF-61 Dark Green
RLM65 Hellblau - 2 parts XF-23 Light Blue to 1 part XF-2 Flat White
For the seat belts I have a couple of packs of the Eduard Luftwaffe seat usbelt sets, so I just used a set of those.
