Hi Guys and gals,
Can someone please confirm the colour of the anti-glare panel on Glamorous Glennis, there seems to be a bit of conflict as to whether it was O/D or Black
Can someone please confirm?
Cheers

Hi Chris.
I just had a look at the colour photos I have of P-51's and the anti dazzle appears to be olive drab. In a couple of photos it looks as though it may be black but then I found either the same photo with a different exposure or another photo of the same aircraft and it's olive drab.
Some of these colour photos are 357th FG Mustangs but none of Yaegers I'm afraid.
Mighty Eighth In Colour by Roger Freeman
Fighter Command by Jeffrey Ethell and Robert Sand.
Both are excellent books and you can find them on Ebay for quite reasonable prices

Try here www.cebudanderson.com. full listing of 357FG planes pictures and profiles. Glamorus Glenn is in ther with a lot of others. Hope this helps. OOPS should have asked which version you are building He had 2 or 3 different planes.

Thanks Guys for your responses.
It appears on Glam Glennis III the anti dazzle panel was Black which surprised me.
This is based on some info on Bud Andersons' site and also a colour plate in the Osprey book Mustang Aces of the 8th Air Force which I was able to pick cheaply a day or so ago.
However I'm open to correction
Cheers
