Stephen and Group,
A future project that I have in mind kinda swings on the edges of the limits of "Early Aviation". I currently have and want to build the Hasegawa Boeing F4B-4 in 1/32 (of course). Delivery dates to the US Navy/Marines between 1932-1933. Is this still valid for "Early Aviation"?
I really wanted to do the F4B-1 with linen and aluminum frame but it doesnt exist, at least in 1/32. Stuck with the aluminum body F4B-4.
Yes, the SE5a is still in the maintenance bay.
Regards
Steve

Greetings Steve;
While the Hasegawa Boeing F4B-4 in 1/32 (of course). would be welcome here anytime. It is not a large scale Roden kit. So it won't fit the theme of the current GB. 21 days left on that so it will be over pretty quickly.

Hey Stephen......I wasn't looking to join the F4B-4 into the Roden GB. And don't worry..........I'm still working on the SE5a..............It may or may not make the "deadline"...but it will get done.........maybe slightly past it.

Hey Hugh,
I built that as a kid, a Looooooonngg time ago, and my skills have improved a bit....except for Acrylic Paint skills.
I have it, but it's not quite up to Roden's detail, but very acceptable. Hasegawa did a good job. I also found a Vector engine for it. The inside will need a LOT of work. Hmmmmmm, I see a group build? When I get that darn SE5 out of the hanger. Not to mention the Abbie.
I would dearly LOVE it to be an F4B-1, wood, canvas, and wire...........but it isn't. I have some research material on the thing. Closest one i know of is the Smithsonian Air and Space in Washington, and that one is hanging off the ceiling. Not sure if they have one in the Navy Pensacola Museum.

Thanks Stephen. It's pushing the edge I know. I'll have to look at the kit really closely. After a 1/32 Roden or two, the F4B just might not stackup.
Right now i have an SE5 to keep my focus on.
