Well I have half fulfilled one of my New Years Resolutions; I have finished one aircraft, well it is 99% done. I need to rebuild the aerial mount as I lost that somehwere and just finish the last bits of weathering. It is the 1/72 Tamiya kit. I had some problems with the decals. They are better than they were but not perfect but I just wanted to get it done. This is my first aircraft in about 10 years.

This looks really great! What did you use for your base? The grass looks fantastic, too.

Cheers guys.

The base is just a polyfilla base with static grass. The polyfilla is airbrushed first before the application of the grass, which is then airbrished with various shades of green and then drybrushed with tones of brown.

Ant - I thinnk the problems were created by me. My coat oof klear wasn't good enough I think. Therefore, when I applied the decals and the satin coat the decals silvered. However, I don't think this was helped by the thickness of Tamiya's decals.
