Hi All
I posted a list on my site already yesterday night, but as it was just a collection of info on several manufacturer and distributor sites (plus the Italeri stuff posted at HS by Giovanni and some Eduard stuff from Rowans list) .. I did not feel the need to advertize it here.
Actually I am on a training course and thus I am busy all day and can only do my updates in the evening. I just finished 5h resizing/reworking photos. At the moment only our "military team" is at the show, so the pix do not have much a/c stuff yet. I will go there with Jean-Luc on saturday to fill the gaps. Also have a look at primeportal where you can probably see a large collection of pix from the show.
The list is a bit updated, but only in military stuff. I do not want to interfere with Jim Rae's updates on Armorama so I post my news here.

Hi All
seems my list is not very popular here on Aeroscale ... but as you know me I will not give up to bother you. I have added another 111 pictures and some aircraft stuff to the list

Hi Steffen
It certainly looks like there'll be plenty to keep you and Jean-Luc busy! I hope you both have a wonderful time and I'm looking forward to reading your eye-witness accounts of the show.

Looks like a good selection. Two B-24 kits. I couldn't see very well, but is the Hasegawa just a new decal option of their previous or is it new?

Hi Rowan
well, reworking the pix prevented an early sleep for J-L as I was busy until 0100AM. I got up at 0600 and J-L shortly after. It is fun so far though saturday is one of the most busy days here (many people who just buy a ticket and many business visitors too. Still I got several kg of catalogues (as does J-L) and he has some appointments that he is still occupied with. Already got a few samples but mostly not really my center of interest .... anyway it is a very good day. We also met our mutual friend JR

Hi all
no , you are not relieved yet. i could not update the stuff yesterday as I had no I-net connection in the Hotel. Jean-Luc again got no sleep before midnite, as I was working on my pix. These are not were well reworked, but I hope most stuff is clear enough to give you an overview of what is shown here.
Due to time limitations I could not work on the list yet, but I will try to add some stuff later today or tomorrow.
Some news update:
Techmod 1/48 Friedrichshafen FF.33: According to Woijtek Bulhak they have problems getting the sprue out of the mold, which delays the release pretty much.
Mirage 1/48 Halberstadt Cl.II: sprues and stuff is shown at their booth, photos will follow later today (already have them but had no time to make a gallery yet)
Eduard MiG-21: this project is in the design phase (no holding back because of economy or so) and on schedule for next year or so.
Eduard Phantom 2: This project is in preparation, but not on full steam, as they do not know what the "crazy chinese" (original comment) will do.
No pix of the TA-4
Nuremberg pix Arndt (this gallery is subject to change so linking html slides will probably not work in the future)

Magic! According to the list special hobby have the roc and skua in 1/72 again.
Hopefully they really will release them this time. I just love small ugly birds.
Was anyone at the SH stand and notice them?

Hi all
Russ, maybe I am a bit stupid today, but I do not understand what you are after?? Hasegawa issued a new B-24 some year(s) ago and now puts out new versions and decal options on a regular basis. The Italeri kit is not quite clear yet ... maybe an old tool (Minicraft), but I am not sure.
JP: I was at the MPM booth ... Mr. Riedl is a very nice guy to talk to The booth is about 4-6 m² shared with another person advertizing his 87scale stuff. So you can imagine that there is not the full programme present: Some pix from the display cases can be seen in my gallery (SEE ABOVE; the first 10 or so pix). and here are some of the boxes shown
Some review will follow in the comming weeks on my site. Jean-Luc will also write a show report and he too got some samples (do not know what exactly but will be mostly 48 scale ... TOTS as I have just learned at track48 forum .
all the best

Hi all,
I arrived home safely and I must say a big thank you to Steffen and Volker from IPMS Deutschland for having made my visit of the Nürnberg Toy Fair such an interesting and enjoyable experience.
I will of course write a feature about our adventures there but don't expect it too soon, probably only this week-end. All I can say is that Steffen and Volker are doing an incredible teamjob so that eveybody can enjoy the Toy Fair pictures as soon as possible on their IPMS website.
TOTS? What is that now?
Jean-Luc

Hi Jean-Luc
I am glad you arrived sound and safe and I hope you had a nice day with Marc!
TOTS---> the only true scale ... it is a reference to a "discussion" I already had with JP
cheers

Hi all
today I was busy with my picture galleries.
As already written I wanted to change two of them because the were not done with my regular tool. I put them together and added some captions for a little more information. I also added some pix from the eduard booth and Hellers 2009 programme.
That means all links to the old galleries Arndt and Helms are broken. (the gallerie with pix from Andreas Eichendorff is unchanged). I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Steffen
Although it won't fit in with the mythical TOTS, it's that 1/32 scale He 110D that caught my eye in the photo of the MPM stand. I'll definitely break my vow and get one of them!
All the best
Rowan
P.S. Perhaps we can invent new acronyms: TOTSITOTYLATT - the only true scale is the one that you like at the time. Or TOTSITOYWI - the only true scale is the one you're working in. I like the latter - it's easy to say (fittingly, it almost sounds like topsy-turvy!) and probably describes my role as a reviewer best!

Hi Rowan
Well, that is not my invention but taken from Track48 (as stated above) ... I am not really into this scale discussion, but I find it kind of fun to "take the stick and poke others". For me myself and I 1/48 is the best solution as I have a/c and armour and can still cope with the size ... of course I would like to have a 1/48 Antonov An-124, but that will not happen.
I have also had an interesting discussion with Jean-Luc who has a pretty different approach to modelling at all ... no wonder that he comes more from an aesthetic point of view while I am attracted by the historic-technical aspect. Thus I have several Bf 109, Fw 190 or Bf 110 ... each connected to a pilot and timeframe.
suum cuique
cheers

Hello Kenneth
Many thanks, it is always nice when someone acknowledges the work we are doing (I also mean the staff here, e.g.Rowan and Jean-Luc) ... it is a lot more work than most people think and not just grabbing "free kits".
Also have a look at Jean-Lucs report: Nürnberg 2009

Hi all
I finally managed to add at least some of the catalogue info. Meanwhile most of the news have spread, so this is just to complete the picture.
If you are interested I have added some stuff from Trumpeter (Germany-Faller NL), Hasegawa, Zvezda, Academy and the planned CMR-News for the year. Especially the dates in the CMR News are more or less a "wish list" when nothing goes wrong.
We'll see what finally will hit the shelves.
