Just as an interesting point,my wife and I were having dinner with freinds last night and they brought out pics and pieces of a B-36 that went down in NFLD in the 50's up the mountain from his wifes parents home..it was interesting to see and hold those parts and I was looking at the bends in the metal trying to get a feel for the actual monent of impact..it was rather moving..

The War Eagles Air Museum has debris from a B-36 that flew into the western slope of the Franklin Mountains of El Paso, TX. I have a photo of a recovered prop that I will post.

I looked this morning at a site rgearding peacemaker crashes and it seems there were alot of them spaced over Canada/United states in the fifties which leads me to believe thay may not have been such an airworthy craft?...this one wert down in NFLD..its a real pity for the 28 young men
