Years ago I converted a MD500 to a MH-6J.
The fitting is not perfect, but not that bad. I remember having major problems with the tail-to-body and glass-to-body fittings. These required a little extra TLC.

I have built a few of the Dragon MD500/MD530/AH-6/OH-6 models. They go together pretty well and come out great. No real issues, just the tricky canopy fit as Avus mentions. Here is my last one done a few months ago.
