Here is a bit of fun from RAGIII and the Autumn / Fall 1971 issue of the Squadron mail order catalog.

Stephen, thanks for posting my addition! My reason for choosing this was twofold. First and foremost these small books and a few Harleyford publications were the beginning of readily available reference for WW1 modelers! Looking back they weren't much and had a lot of inaccuracies(Hind Sight Applied). Secondly, the price, $3.95 US! Of course one has to consider the times, I worked part time, about 35 hours per week and took home maybe $50.00 per week at the time. I paid for a brand new Toyota Corolla, and insurance as well as my models.

There was a boxed set of 6 kits that you could pick up . These were originally direct copies of the old Revell kits. They were released under the company names like Entex, ESCI and others.

Neat Stuff. The add from the 1971 flier, sure looks dated.

Yes it does, just like me .That was the year I graduated High School
By the way, in that same issue the 1/28th Revelle kits were listed at $1.25 each!

Stephen,
I had forgotten about that group boxing! I am sure I owned it at one point in time.
