Hello, this is the 1/48th Lancaster circa 1980. This is the original boxing, I don't recall if it has been reproduced like the Lancaster B1. At this stage the cockpit has been completed.
Eduard's RAF bomber PE prepainted seatbelts were added, otherwise the stock interior was left OOB with decals for the instruments. Paint scheme for the interior is Aeromaster Grey-Green, though I've heard that Flat Black may have been appropriate. I am rescribing the fuselage panel lines. This is why I do 3-4 projects, it is tedious work after an hour.

Question I have is I've seen photos and built Lancasters but of the regular bomber B1-BIII
versions. But for the 617 Sqdn, the landing gear is either silver or black? I'm leaning towards black, but I've seen silver also. .

Any comments deeply appreciated.

Fly Navy.

:-) Nice Lancaster Chuck. When I get around to mine I will also be re-scribing the panel lines. Do you have any tips or tricks?
I think I have an article somewhere that might answer your question. I'll see if I can dig it out and get back to you :-)

:-) The 2 part article was concerned with the modifications made to the type 464 provisioning Lancaster, unfortunately no mention is made of the gear colour. I will keep looking (I would lean towards black also, as I do have pictures showing black) :-)
