I was just wondering about the quality of HobbyBoss aircraft kits... especially concerning fit of parts.. ease of bulding.
I'm not too concerned about accuracy and all that. I just don't want to spend too many hours filling and sanding!
Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Hisham
Sorry, I missed to answer you because I thought someone else would do ...
Also I am a bit surprised to see you on the blue side of kitmaker
The problem is, that HB has several lines that are pretty different. There are those very basic 72 scale toys and larger model kits. As accuracy and plagiarism seems no issue to you I can recomment the HB kits. They build pretty easy... though I must say that I have only buld one so far (a F4F-3 Wildcat)
Check out the reviews section here at aeroscale .. lots of HB kits ....
https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showmaker&makerid=381
Also search for Andy Brazier's F-105D build ... e.g
all the best
Steffen
P.S. I do not think throwing dirt will bring you better answers ... if you are out for some "bad ChiCom" comments just visit HS with this question.

i haven't build't any of the kits but modelers seem to be very pleased with there kit's . and there are lot's of builds on this site .
give people a few days to answer your questions . we all have lives with families and jobs and can't be around all the time or on line .
steffen is right if you want a fast answer go over to hs and you will get a lot of men complaining just about every thing about a kit .

My only experience is with the 1/35 Leopard tank kits. A couple of soft details in a few areas and particular to tank models the anti-skid sections were molded 2 or 3 times too thick.
But they have seemed to learn more as they progress. They have a AAVP model which is well regarded.

Hey, guys... thanks for th replies.
By the way, I was just joking around with the 2nd post. Just thought I'd wake everybody up!!
There are a couple of aircraft I've always liked... like the A10 and the A7Corsair... and I thought I'd build them in 1/72 scale(because of space)... and Hobbyeasy is having a sale on a couple of HobbyBoss kits.
So, thanks again for your help

Hisham, the fit is decent, i did a build log of the F4J Fury and pointed out some of the issues with the kit, it's one of their earlier kits and if anything its a good indicator of the quality of future releases. The only detractor of their kits in larger scales is the cost, I find that several of their kits seem to be pricey and with the options in 48th, some of their their subjects are well represented in this scale.

The one good, and GREAT, thing about Hobby Boss is they have figured a way to allow bulders to fold wings using styrene only, and not relying on expensive and out of production conversion kits (KMC, Lone Star, etc.). Case in point are their TBF-1C and TBM-3 kits in 1/48.

I have several Hobby Boss kits, and I think they are of good quality, and would buy them again.
BTW the second post is just plain rude. You can't pass it off as "just joking." An apology wouldn't be out of line.

I WAS just joking.. trying to stir things up because, unlike Armorama, I noticed things were very slow here... I mean as far as replies and new posts and all that.
But if an apology is what is needed to clear things up.. then I whole-heartedly apologise if I offended you guys.
I've been posting on Armorama for a few years now and I've never had a situation happen where anyone felt offended by my posts. They were always taken in the right spirit.
But, again.. I apologise.

I have never purchased one. I don't know why. I guess I have never seen one that I just had to have. I can't be of much help. Sorry, I would have answered sooner but I have been out of town.

Hisham,
Apology accepted. Not really a big deal though. Happy modelling.
