Hi this is my entry to the BfB campaign, the tamiya 1/48 BF109E3 with Lion Roar seatbelts. Nothing special.
The instrument panels, it has too much red on it, but as many of you prolly already knew, I like colorful stuff...
That's it for now. The BF109E3 from Tamiya is a very easy build, I had done it before for the first plane I tried my hands on...it's certainly fun to revisit it.

Brother HK Connection.
Per usual your cockpit instrumentation detail work is so well done. No doubt about it, you are "Da Man"!
Good luck on the build.

Dave
Nice model dude I like it great touch of detail again.
I really don`t want to nitpick on your plane but from what I can see in the pics the lower instrument panel where shows fuel oil an water gauges are wrong colors on your plane.
They are actually fuel content(yellow) oil temp(orangeish brown) water temp(light/sky blue)
But just what I say it`s a small nitpick of a very good model dude I like it
Go on and keep us updated

Hi SS-74
That' s already looking very tasty! But where do you get Lion Roar seatbelts? I don't know those ones - I used some old Airwaves belts in my 109 (see pics elsewhere). I particularly like the way you've "quartered" some of the instrument backs before adding the hands - it's inspired me to try it next time if my hand's steady enough!
I've never built Tamiya's 109 before and it's been a nice surprise to find something that actually fits together after tackling so many short-run kits! I was a bit miffed by the sink marks in the wings (caused by the flap-mounts), but maybe I was just unlucky with my example.
Once I get Galland's plane finished and we form up a Rotte, Holdfast had better watch out in his Hurricane :-)
All the best
Rowan

Dave,
I like the detail in the cockpit. For a while ago, I found a detailset, that fits into this plane, I think.
I really like this detailset...

Thank you guys for your comments.
Faust, you are 100% right, the color of the lower dashboard is incorrect, I have zero reference, so I just kinda paint it the way I think is pretty. #:-) I will keep it in mind for my future BF109s
And Lord Aragorn. yeah I saw this set, they are real nice, I might get it for my future BF109s, thanks. (++)

Aragon, that would be for the 1/32nd 109, not a bad set but its instructions are very poor an half the small resin parts were busted up, all in all if the lil parts were not broke, I would rank it a very high aftermarket detail set. but its for the HAS kit an well I have 2 of them an I'm not impressed by thier 109 32nd scale AC anyways
david can't wait to see the touched up photo's with the intell I gave you the other night.
I'll get a couple photo's of Mine sometimes this wk maybe
