Wow, Terri

I didn't think I was the only kid on the block who would rather fill the closet with kit's rather than clothes. My collection is a little short of yours, at 'only' 69 kit's, but, I'm working on it. Almost entirely WWII and Cold War stuff.

Good luck with the builds.

I wasnt allowed to leave the hobby shop without it the day I picked mine up..( my wife was with me, and acts as my inspiration officer)..It looks like it should come with a Donald duck pilot figure !..lol...but is actually a very nice kit I must say..

pfff,

if you finnish one every week then in two years you will run out of boxes

Well, I got to Hanannts a couple of weeks ago and despite my very serious commitment never to build a stack I have now in 1/48:

ch46, ch53, fulcrum, blackhawk, seahawk, typhoon, rafale... anda few others....

Terri,

You really ought to consider adding a couple of WW1 aircraft to your collection. (I hear they're a lot of fun to build!)
Glad to see I'm not the only nutter who's seen fit to start a hobby shop in their closet. I was getting worried that I had some sort of compulsive condition.
Since I have a mere 78 kits nestled on my top shelf , I'm clearly not over doing this whole 'kit hording thing'.

Cheers,
Fred

Thank you for posting the list. I thought I was the only one with a personal hobby shop. I have 80 kits at home, and 45 stacked in my office at work. Mostly 1/32nd. Plus the Revell Gato boat 1/72. I have mostly Navy and Marine Corps Aviation, plus some Russian fighters and a Bear. Thank you for letting me believe once again that I am neither crazy or alone. This is a great post, Terri. I think we should all make a list, post it here, and then stand in front of a hobby shop and say something to the effect of,"Hi, my name is ______, and I'm a styrenaholic." Good post.

Ahem ... 181 in the stash and still growing faster than I can keep up with. Time doesn't permit a full listing but suffice to say, there's a lot of Leopards in there.

..only had 200 kits at last count - I didn't think that was excessive - was toying with the idea of disposing of them a while back, but am now resolved to build them...well, gotta do something in retirement (still a while off..). Recently picked up a collection of 40 Tamiya armour kits.. although I haven't built an AFV in a while...still you can't pass up a bargain can you ?

If anyone who knows me is reading this, I have stopped buying books !

Since my last post, I've added 28 more great, modern kits to the stash, and now horde a modest total of 95.

At the current rate of production it will take me 47.5 years to complete them. That would make me 99.5 yrs young.

Yes, I will live that long. Only the good die young. As a matter of fact, I think I'd better stock-up.

For various reasons I don't keep a stash of kits. I do sometimes find it hard to walk away from a nice kit or a bargain, but I try to be strong! My dearly beloved helps me to be strong by various means, you know, threatening scowls, ominous silence, threats of violence e.t.c. As a result I never have more than three or four kits awaiting their ruination in my cupboard.
It turns out that I'm the weirdo!!!!!
To all you guys 'n gals with many centuries of work ahead of you - respect and best of luck.
Cheers
Steve
