Well first off a pic of the Bf109E-1, she's ready to fight judt needing some rust on the exhausts and some powderstains on the guns.
Now the base is set up to be movable, i still have a lot of paint ing to do in this area. The aircraft are mounted on 5mm clear pipe, and made to be removable for moves and the like. SO tell me what ya think.stug

The chase is on!!!!!
enjoy guys......comments are welcome and appreciated!!! stug

:-) Stug, this is a wonderful idea. My only criticism is that shouldn't the Spit be chasing the 109?

First the Spit should pull up then do a barrel roll and dive down. As the 109 is confused the Spit should pull hard right and get behind him. Then put him in the sights and light him up like a christmas tree! Very nice work

Maybe the Spit's just taking the 109 home for a cup of tea while they watch the cricket... (life is strange in Porkyland!)
Looking good
All the best

Stug:
Clever idea. Neat idea for the base---really great theme here.
Just a thought,----for those who don't follow modeling/WWII history etc, a simple nameplate i.e. "Battle of Britain 1940" applied to the base would be a helpful touch.
Nice work here Stug---Congrats on completing your campaign project! (Now you need to get the Campaign T-shirt;)

Good work mate...I think I would have preferred the spitfire BEHIND the Bf109...lol
Have you seen the advert for "prop-blur"? may help you out on this mate.

Nice build and paintjob Stug! A bit under-weathered for my own personnal liking, but Im not an aircraft person anyway. I really love the dog-fight scenario. This should look really cool when finished. Are you going to paint terrain or model it? Maybe if the fighters were skimming some tree-tops it would be easier to hide the clear stands! Desert-fox´s suggestion of the prop-blurs would add a great realism to this effect as well! looking forward to seeing this finished up!

Stug this looked awesome, and the BF109 chasing the Spit, it looked real, I like it a lot! Good work.

Well I thanks y'all for the comments. The original idea for the base was a painted sky behind them but I likr the map idea as well. Wonder what will end up there???? Martin if i can find those Propblur things i might look into it but it is getting a little late in game to be ordering stuff for the dio, sorry. stug

I like the realism behind the spit being defeated ...
you should obliterate the fuselage of the spit, as if the 109 was shooting at that bloody brit.
