Anybody know if Hasegawa's 1/72 Hellcat was ever retooled with recessed panel lines? And how does it compare to Acadamy's Hellcat?

Hello Andy -
Hasagawa's 1/72 scale Hellcat has seen many re-boxed versions with a variety of decals, but no upgrades to the actual kit. Although it's a nice kit, it still has raised panel lines.
Academy's Hellcat is very nice, and goes together very well, but another good choice is the F6F-5 Hellcat from Revell of Germany ( Kit No. 04140). It comes with recessed panel lines, bombs, rockets, and even dropped flaps - no center drop tank I'm afraid. It's also reasonablly priced at around $10.

Thanks Johannes!! I was leaning towards the Acadamy kit, mainly due to price, but the panel lines was the deal breaker.
