This is a question for fellow modelers with experience with some of the more advanced PE kits out there. I have a couple of projects going that require laminating PE framing to large areas of aircraft canopies. (a Hasegawa Bf 109F to Verlinden PE framing and a Hobbycraft Arado 234B to Airwaves PE frames).
I prep all my canopies now with Future. In the past this has helped reduce CA fogging when attaching latches and the like, but something as large as an entire canopy frame has me intimidated.
What adhesives do others attempting this use? Should I go with an epoxy? If so what kind? Can I brave using CA? Are there special steps I may be overlooking to help avoid disaster?
These parts could really make the canopies look top shelf, but if I blow it...
Cheers,
Fred
