Here is a reproduction of the patch worn by the pilots of the F9C-2 Sparrowhawks aboard the U.S.S. Macon (ZRS-5), a rigid airship of the U.S. Navy. It carried 5 Sparrowhawks and was in a sense a 'flying aircraft carrier.' The Macon was lost off Point Sur in California in 1935. All hands (save 2) were rescued; the Macon and her Sparrowhawks have been found; the sight is kept secret , somewhere in a marine preserve in California.

Hope you enjoy the patch,
Matt
