I'm going to be using one for my P-47 olive drab coat only. Any tips before using one of these spay cans on my model?

Cheers

..I tend to use cans all the time for large areas...even some small areas..check my gallery. You need to take the time to mask up carefully and experiment with your trigger/finger control on a piece of scrap card before starting, Make sure you've given the can a thorough shake and 'warmed' it up a little (I usually stick in a pocket for 30 mins or so before painting) so that the paint has a decent consistency. When spraying keep the can moving at all times across the area being painted..otherwise it'll pool. Hit the plastic moving for the same reason...Spray away from the mask otherwise you'll get a ridge...that's about it
basically everything you'd do if you were using your airbrush...
good luck!

As long as you don't spray it on heavily over acrylics you can get away with it, that's the trick. Use several light coats so that you don't reactivate the paint underneath and it works ok. Oh and leave plenty of time for the acrylic paint to dry- at least 24 hours, even longer for gloss acrylic.

I've never used Enamels in this way though.
