Hi Guys & Girls,
Just a little query regarding the Roden DIII (OAW) Part 30A (A small hand priming pump?) Is Roden's position correct? It doesnt show on the windsock Datafile there and I cant find any ref pic that shows it in that area of the cockpit, the one pic I did find...in the albi datafiile special.... shows nothing there at all. Me'sa confusadodled.
A minor thing I know but....I just know as soon as its done ....I'll find its wrong.
Also what were these and the bigger hand pump made of...brass, ally or steel? It instructs you to paint all black but I want to show a little wear maybe....besides I just want to know :-P
Thanks and regards in advance
Keith

To answer your first question , yes it's in the right location .
For your second question , I have read some where that the hand pumps were made from brass , but haven't found that info to back that up . I also learnt that the pumps where painted either black or gray/green depending on what was available for paint and where the aircraft was built . so in some case's it could have not been painted at all .

Just for identification purposes it is a "Water pump greaser" . Its is located on the rear gun mount cross bar at the far (pilot's) right side.
