From my view this is a great kit. Now we are still in the box here, but looking at the sprues and taking a few measurements I can''t help be impressed with this kit. Even the smallest details molded in even to the hinges for the spats on the landing gear. As I get deeper into this build I will give you the usual heads''s up on issues that might come up. But I get the feeling excellence has come to WWI aviation model kits.

Mine just got here halfway through reading the review. The most valid comment in your excellent review in my opinion is that these "are worth every penny". That is the amazing thing about these models more than anything else. Their price is great for what you are getting compared to everything else out there.

Other companies could do this if they put there minds to it...but it would cost anything up to twice as much.

Well after days of delay.....here in the UK I camr home tonight to a letter saying mine was ready for collection in my local Parcelforce depot....I had 20 mins to get there and collect it after paying vat & a handling charge...grrrrrrrr

Raced home...had to walk the dog first but the anticipation was well worth it. The LOD is excellent, sure theres little places to tinker but I'm never an OOB builder. The detail is excellent and without *slide molding technology* .......

Only trouble is....is it stripey enough for the group build.....and I got the LGV at the same time.... even less stripey options LOL.

All I can say is when the DVa and DVII are released I'm ordering 2 of each instantly....

beaming with delight...trying to resist delving till the weekend.

Stephen, I read your review. I believe you were 100% correct on your evaluation. For those of you sitting on the fence, these are great kits. I kinda regret not getting the JI. But as Keith said "All I can say is when the DVa and DVII are released I'm ordering 2 of each instantly...." Maybe even three.

As for the website. I can't get much out of it. Much of the site is invisible, only to be revealed by running the mouse around until it hits a hidden control, then clicking it. So my knowledge of upcoming releases is limited to what I have found on these threads. Any idea on dates of release for those kits promised for future release.

Finally, a D.Va in 1/32.

Rowan for 2 kits cost under £83.00 the VAT was £8.85 and parcelforce slapped a hefty £13.50 admin charge for the VAT. All part of the pleasure *coughs* of being British I guess
Plus they won't release the parcel till they get the money..... Still buy everything....then theres only one £13.50 to pay.....Unless you know someone you can trust abroad to buy and gift you the kits and save both VAT and Admin costs.... :-P


Even so...seeing the cost of Roden kits in Hannants and the quality *not knocking Roden at all* they are very good value to my mind anyway.

Carl, I think you need the latest IE or Mozilla to see the site properly, I remember others having difficulty.......no set date for release for the next batch yet........I imagine they are sitting in a warehouse in NZ...........Anyone good at burglary? *JOKE!!!*

OMG you have to pay that much extra just because of your system? Stuff like that is theoretically meant ot happen here as well, but in 15 years of ordering stuff from overseas, i've never personally had to pay an extra cent- even on the stuff that actually had labels saying "inspected by customs". They only seem to delay and inspect some kits because the scanners show up possible hazardous materials- mainly kits with resin parts. Otherwise they come straight through.

Sounds like you need to move to the colonies.

As for their website, i think it sounds more likely a problem with your privacy/firewall settings blocking something. I just run plain standard IE, not even the latest version- and haven't experienced any trouble at all
