Hello all,
Here are the pics of my Italeri 1/72 Bf-110 Zerstorer as I promised. Most of the construction is over, only painting and addition of the fiddly bits and bobs pending. Think I should have it completed by the end of this week ! Sorry for the low quality; I use a Sony Handycam, and it's been raining cats and dogs outside over the weekend!
A view of the cockpit assembly:
An overall view of progress so far:

Bytepilot that is looking good. The detail on the consoles is great considering the scale.

Hi brandydoguk,
Thanks ! All the console painting was done with a toothpick, and the individual raised instruments were picked off in separate colors. It was a pretty painful process however, and my fingers were numb for an hour afterwards!
The side panels were drybrushed with a light grey to get the desired effect. I also picked off some spots in black and white so as to provide a break from the monotony.
Cheers,
BP.

Hi BP
She's shaping up nicely! I had a browse through your folder (for some reason the pics are showing here for me). Lovely detail painting. What camouflage & markings will she carry?
Don't worry about Holdfast... I'll be flying top-cover.
Beware the Pig in the sun! :-)

Hi again BP!
Just to let you know I can see your pics now! (I know the feeling when someone can't!....)
All my settings were completely b*ggered by the change of server. I lost my password etc. and knew something was going really screwwy when I couldn't even see people's rank badges etc.
Back to normal now...touch wood . :-)

Well, it's been quite some time since I last saw what happened on this post, thx to the Armorama site being offline for so long...
Sadly, haven't made any progress since last Sunday. Both my baby daughter and wife are down with the flu, so am attending to them first. Will start off on the undersides and top light color layer tonite hopefully...
Thanks to Mal and Geoff, I was able to get this clarified in another post . The camo color scheme is RLM 71/70/65, with cockpit interiors and wheel wells RLM 02 Grau. The markings I'm not so sure; have to refer the box cover for that. However, AFAIR, it will be a C-3 of 6. Staffel, ZG 76 'Haifisch'(Shark Geschwader) , M8+CP operating out of France, 1940.
Ah, Mal, naughty, naughty you #:-)! Here I am, trying to make a beauty shark mouth Zerstorer, and all you can think of it shoot it down :-)! My shark's gonna have your Hurri for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so watch out.....
Cheers,
BP.

That is looking great BP. I hope those bombs are securely attached, wouldn't want them dropping on some poor unsuspecting RAF base lol

Yup, they are ! Took pains to drill 4 holes for each so that it is very securely attached to the bomb racks on the wings.....Wouldn't mind tho' if it came down upon an RAF base or two... hahahahaha!!!!!

Hi BP
I love the sharks-mouth - very tasty indeed. Just wait 'till the RAF boys see that in their rear-view mirror!! How's your scratchbuilt canopy come out? - that was an amazing way 'round your sun-induced disaster.
Very nice job!!
All the best

Well folks,
Here is my 95% completed Haifisch for you to look at.
Had been very busy over the weekend, and have put in about 30 hours of effort in the last lap so far. This included the making and weathering of the base, and the scratchbuilding of a new caopy for my plane. The old one was not up to the mark (I felt so ;-)), and so I made a brand new one, again from strips of transparent plastic from an old CD cover.
Only two things are pending now:
1. Painting the frames of the canopy.(2.5%)
2. Attaching the wheel undercarriage covers(0.5%)
3. Attaching the guns(1%)
4. Antennae out of Stretched sprue(1%)(this I have already done, just needs to go on to the model ;-))
More shots available at my Webshots link. The pics are on Page 2. If you can't still see the pics, go to the last pic, and then click the next button(top right), and then the back button. Sorry for this, but this dumb site seems to have aproblem with my uploaded photos always !
Hope I am able to finish it by 0000 Hrs Indian Standard time tonite. Otherwise if you folks feel this is enough, then I'm stopping right in my tracks!!! I will be finishing this by this weekend(some last touches).
Cheers,
BP.
