First of all THANKS for your comments
The glass I tried to be a little bit frosty
The japanese in ww2 didn't take much care of their equipment
The extras are: The antenna wire, the hole on the back MG,
and some detail on the cokpit
The weathering is heavy wash of raw umber applied on the whole surface
And then with a brush with white spirit clean the 50% of it
I didn't want to use pigments in that build
Except the Black smoke pigment in the exhausts

From what iv learned regarding the Japanese Naval and Army aircraft(they had their airforce split under these 2 categories)..there seems to be a bit of contention regarding their aircraft paint. At the beginning of the conflict the airframes were very well taken care of and the paint was of very high quality. As the war shifted in favor of the allies, paint supplies and quality control in factories, along with ingredient supplies became, shall we say, compromised. Airfield attacks and supply issues to the front due to Allied air superiority didnt help either..Some people have said the paint was ok,it was the primer that sucked...I dont know...I just think that Japanese aircraft are cool subjects because of the neat things you can do finish and weathering-wise........a really nice job youve done on this Betty!

Just wanted to say great job on your model, especially considering your age. It is nice to see that we have some younger modelers with us in the world. We need more to keep our hobby alive and vibrant. Again, great job there on the Betty. Russell
