I'm looking to build a B-17 and was looking at the Hasegawa kit # 0907 Blood and guts 1/48 or the Academy B-17G kit # 2143 1/72. I was thinking of getting the Big Ed FLYING FORTRESS Super Set for details but I'm thinking interior details would be a waste since you don't see much. What would be good details for the model such as engines or landing gear. I would love to hear what you have to say from those of you that have built a b-17 before.
Thanks,
Dave

Try here for good info on the B-17. www.swannysmodels.com. Once page is open scroll down to allied section. There are two articles and reviews of 1/48th scale B-17. From what i gather the Hasegawa was a rebox. Hope this helps.
