In an attempt to mitigate the damage caused to aircraft by bird strikes, if not eliminate them entirely, the Air Force has come up with this solution to the problem. To this point, it is being tested on a few transport category aircraft. They have found that, by putting Nancy Pelosi's (US speaker of the House) likeness on the nose of the aircraft, birds of all kinds will avoid the aircraft. There has, however, been a noticeable rise in the number of birds who have chosen to jump into the engines while on the ground, apparently choosing to commit suicide. The photo is, of course, unauthorized and for reference only.
it has been a very long Thursday, and I couldn't resist. Forgive me...

Is there a risk of an increase in "friendly fire" incidents?

I don't think so...other aircraft do not seem to want to get close enough to fire

Only problem here is known as the Medusa Effect wherein when she looks the birds in the eye, they turn to stone and drop out of the sky on a hapless population like bombs!
Of course the benefit is that they can remove the propulsion units from the aircraft and fly it strictly on hot air
