Here are a couple more pics of Galland's Bf109E-3 under construction. The decals are cobbled together from several sets and sealed under a couple of Klear coats. As the original was repainted in the field, I've left off most of the stencilling, only applying what I can see in the reference photos - including the non-standard wing-walk and jacking-point markings. Even the swastikas are placed unusually. I've done a wash and will do a flat coat this afternoon, before trying some pastels.

The main assemblies are still only dry-fitted here, which has made painting easier but, obviously, there'll be some seams to take care of (trying not to damage to much paintwork!). I don't normally work this way, so that should be interesting... hmmm!
