I'm building the big 1/48 AC-47, and I was wondering, where should the paint be chipped and worn? I understand the Southeast Asian weather was pretty rough on these planes. Thanks guys!

Typically the wear and tear would occur around the two aft windows on the port side, the rear cargo door area, leading edge of the wings, and around the fuel filler areas. These are what comes to mind right off the bat. If you do a google image search for the AC-47 you'll find several pics that will give you a good view of these planes. Hope that helps, "Q"

Yes I looked but couldn't find what I was looking for - thanks! I've sprayed large parts of the plane bare metal silver already. The 1/48 AC-47 is a very nice kit, and a bargain besides. This will be the biggest kit I've ever built, just about; it's around the same size as my Revell 1/48 Ju-52.
What if the Germans had thought of the gunship idea first, and built Ju-52 gunships? They would have come in handy at Stalingrad!
